A little bit about me: Born and raised in Canton, OH, I graduated from The University of Akron with a BFA in Art-Graphic Design. I worked in Wooster, Cleveland (resided as well), Akron, and Canton. I came to Columbus in late 2004 on a job offer through an insurance company. I have been designing for 7-8 years with 3 years of printing experience. I believed that I would be somehow involved in the art world around 4th grade. Plus I inherited the talent from my Mom's side and the determination from Dad's.

I can help fellow young professionals by... Mentoring, positive/constructive criticism, overshadowing like I did for an intern this past Spring. Also, being true to yourself and down to earth. I also would like to get back into portfolio reviews.

Fellow young professionals can help me by... Learning to have more fun outside of the Graphic Design world, for life is too short.

When I am not working... I enjoy lifting weights, movies, concerts, walking (which I should be doing more often), reading (not as much as I should), bowling, football. Slowing getting involved with golf.

If I won the lottery I would... Invest 1/4, give 1/2 to Mom and Dad, and spend the other 1/4 on a long vacation to Cabo San Lucas or Germany where my ancestors originated.

My favorite place in Columbus is... Gresso's on South High Street.

My favorite CYP Club activity is... Recently, speed networking and the new member dinner. I would like to get involved with the football or softball groups, but my freelance business is starting up in September.

Another CYP Club member you should get to know is... I got two members: Katie Beaulieu of TechColumbus from the recent speed networking session. Very nice lady.
Great to converse with in a short period of time. Nick Mears of Clay Creative. Met at the new member session back on July 30th. Seems to be a good person.

June 2007: Dr. Joshua Dorsey

Job Description: I am a chiropractor. I help people with back problems. but back problems can be anything from headaches, someone that has more then two headaches or migraines per month should be seen by a chiropractor. A lot of headaches are caused by misaligned vertebrae in the neck. With misaligned vertebrae in the neck you can also get numbness tingling into the shoulders and arms. Low back pain is another problem I can help with. After an exam and thorough history x-rays may be taken to check the alignment of your low back. Once that is completed I come up with a diagnosis (based on the history exam and x-ray findings) then a specific treatment plan is given for the person.

A little bit about me: I was born is small country town named Amsterdam. Amsterdam, Ohio not the other Amsterdam. I went to college at Kent State and studied I.T. for a year then decided to change my field to health. I studied Biology. I left Kent and headed out west to Los Angeles. I went to Los Angeles for chiropractic school.

I lived in SoCal for a little over four years. I lived in Newport Beach, Huntington Beach, Redondo Beach, and a couple other places, but the beach cities were the best. While I was out studying I had landed a commercial for K-Swiss that was aired nationally. I also was in all Finish Line stores across the nation. Another neat opportunity I had was trying out for X-Men 2. The movie was looking for a character over 6ft 5in. Well I fit the description and was given the script to practice and read. I practiced for a day then went to the audition. How did the audition go? A bit nervous and unsure what to expect, I didn’t get the gig, but it was a great experience.

I finished with school and practiced in Beverly Hills for 6 months before moving back to Columbus, Ohio. While here my first 2 years I worked with a couple doctors then had an opportunity to purchase a practice in Dublin. I purchased my practice a year and half ago. The name of my office is Wellspring Chiropractic it is located near the Tuttle crossing mall. It has been an awesome year helping people. One of the best things about my job is helping people but also meeting all the great people in the area. The statistics are that only 8% of the population goes to a chiropractor. It is my goal to see 80% of the population around me. I feel that everyone should have a chiropractor they can go to.

I can help fellow young professionals by... Answering their health-related questions, and treating their injuries.

Fellow young professionals can help me by... Bringing their family and friends to see me. I enjoy the challenges of people's back problems.

When I am not working... I hang out with my wife, take my dog (Rowdy) to Antrim Park, play video games, or go to the movies.

If I won the lottery I would... Invest the money, and continue with what I'm doing.

My favorite place in Columbus is... Cheesecake factory. There menu is huge and amazing food.

Job Description: Because we are a small, family-owned business, we get to wear many hats and it is important to have a full understanding of all lines of our business. When I first joined our family company, I had to actually get my hands dirty and work on the job site building our log homes...let me tell you...I am not what one might consider a "manual laborer"! However, I did gain a broad knowledge base of how our homes are constructed and what it takes to deliver a quality product...and let me tell you...it takes a lot! Currently I streamline our marketing efforts to capture a solid client base. I work with all of our clients on customizing their new log home and also handle after-sale problem resolution with our clients. Throughout the entire process of building a Jubach Log Home, our clients become our friends, not just our customers. They love the Hocking Hills area as much as we do, and being able to help them own the view they love is truly rewarding.

A little bit about me: After high school, I moved to Columbus to attend the Ohio State University and my parents moved to Hocking Hills as their permanent residence (I grew up in Cincinnati). After two quarters at OSU, I realized that I needed a smaller setting to gain any appreciation for what I was learning. I decided to finish my undergraduate degree at Franklin University. This was a wise choice on my behalf and after only three years I had a B.S. in Business Administration and a minor in Human Resource Management. Not truly knowing what to do with myself, and after two previous positions, I ended up working for the Huntington Investment Company. This was a fantastic learning experience for me...I can't begin to thank Huntington for the growth and opportunity to not only grow from a professional standpoint, but also from a personal one. After four years at Huntington, I decided I needed to spread my wings again and find another path...which lead me to joining our family business exactly 1 year and 3 months ago! Life is good...I get to travel around a beautiful, serene setting every day, and I am able to still live close to Columbus near friends and activities I enjoy. Plus I get to meet new people every day and I also get to be very close with my family who are all very important to me.

I can help fellow young professionals by... Giving an understanding of a small business and what it takes to vertically integrate an organization to eliminate waste and offer a turn-key experience to customers.

When I am not working... When I am not working I enjoy hiking with my dog Athos (my 7 month old Weimaraner that has more energy than I expected..ha ha), I enjoy shopping with friends and riding my horses...also traveling when I can!

If I won the lottery I would... Okay, I am not going to give one of those "I would save the world" kind of speeches. I would absolutely travel around the world and see as much as I could, I would give to my family and friends, I would donate to charities I felt in my heart were truly making a difference and I would try my best to not let it "change" me!

My favorite place in Columbus is... Well, I very much enjoy going to dinner and shopping, so I would say that Easton is up on my list of places I first think about visiting!

My favorite CYP Club activity is... I actually just joined CYP, so the only activity that I have attended is a morning meeting, which I am missing this morning (because one I am typing this..ha ha) and two because I have a BIA event to attend! However, I would recommend a Hocking Hills activity for CYP members that enjoy the outdoors as much as I do....an afternoon of hiking!!!! Anyone interested??

I moved to the United States in 1993, exiled from my country because of a brutal war that raged for 14 years. I am the youngest of six siblings raised by two of the best parents in the world. I lived in Trenton, New Jersey before moving to Columbus, Ohio. I attended and graduated from Walnut Ridge High School. I attended Wittenberg University for two years and I am currently finishing my Finance degree at Franklin University. I started my banking career with Huntington and then moved to SunTrust Bank in Florida and Georgia. I get a wonderful sense of satisfaction from helping clients take control of their financial futures.

Job Description: My firm, which is made up of more than 60 attorneys in offices in Columbus, Dayton, Cincinnati and Covington, KY, is devoted to appellate litigation, business litigation, construction law and litigation, employment law, insurance coverage, intentional torts, medical malpractice, environmental and toxic torts, government law, premises liability, product liability, professional malpractice, school law and workers' compensation.

I personally spend most of my time working on school law issues and defending negligence cases, ranging from auto accidents to medical malpractice to slip-and-falls.

A little bit about me: I'm originally from a very small town in Lorain County called LaGrange, which is about a half hour west of Cleveland. I spent lots of time with my friends in the Flats (before they were deadly) before heading to college at Miami University where I double majored in Human Resource Management & Organizational Behavior. I married Dave - a Purdue engineering grad - literally the week after graduating college, and coincidentally the day after Christmas. We chose to make Columbus home because there were two law schools here and I thought, statistically speaking, I should at least get into one. I did, and I went to Capital University Law School in the evenings while working full-time as a legal assistant at a large downtown firm. I've been an attorney with Freund, Freeze & Arnold ever since and will be starting my fourth year with the firm in March. If I won the lottery I would... Give lots of money to my friends and family who could use it, travel and spend my time working on pro bono projects from home

My favorite place in Columbus is... Polaris Fashion Place (for shopping) and Trattoria Roma in Grandview (for dining).

My favorite CYP Club activity is... Getting to know other young professionals besides lawyers!

A little bit about me: I left my hometown of Bulawayo, Zimbabwe at 17 years of age to represent Western Kentucky University's mens soccer program for four years on an athletic scholarship. It was there where I met my wife and pursued a career in the hospitality industry. However, having spent four successful years at the prestigious Homestead Resort in Virginia, and with the birth of our first son in December of 2005, it was time to pursue a new challenging career where I would be able to help people on a deeper level, and truly maximize my potential. When the opportunity to be a part of an industry led organization presented itself, we took the leap of faith and moved to Columbus, Ohio. Arriving in the United States in 1997 with only a suitcase in each hand, I am blessed today to have a loving wife, a healthy child and the opportunity of having an impact on someone's life each and every day through my practice.
